CDC now recommends COVID-19 vaccines for all children 6 months and older. But many parents are reluctant to get their children vaccinated. The goal of this training is to prepare local health department staff to effectively communicate information about the safety, benefits, and availability of COVID-19 vaccines for children to parents and caregivers.

In this training, you will learn:

  • The basics of the COVID-19 vaccine for children
  • How to respond to frequently asked questions regarding the vaccine in children
  • Describe and apply elements of health coaching techniques when conducting vaccine outreach for children
