This training is for Local Health Jurisdiction and state employees who will be working in the area of outbreak management of COVID-19.

Mpox Disease Intervention Training (MPOX)

Learn to perform effective disease intervention interviews for mpox. This training builds on the Essential Interviewing Skills for Disease Intervention (EISDI) course and aims to apply course skills and knowledge to the complexities and nuances specifically related to mpox.

This training is for Local Health Jurisdiction (LHJ) and state employees who will be facilitating disease intervention interviews for mpox with members of the public.

COVID-19 Disease Intervention (CDI)

Learn skills and techniques to ensure information is effectively communicated in a COVID-19 disease intervention interview.

This course is intended for persons who will be performing COVID-19 disease intervention work in the state of California, including: existing staff of local health districts and existing State employees deployed to the COVID-19 response. Prior training and work experience in public health is not required.

Crisis and Emergency Risk Communication and Public Health Messaging in K-12 Schools (RC)

Prepare to communicate more effectively in an emergency and keep your school community safe.  

This course is intended for K-12 school staff and district staff who are responsible for the development and dissemination of critical and time-sensitive information to stakeholders including students, staff, faculty, families, and the community regarding public health emergencies occurring in the school setting.

Foundations of COVID-19 Pandemic Response

Learn to support communicable disease intervention and outbreak response activities, including case investigation, contact tracing, vaccine outreach, health education, and resource coordination for people impacted by COVID-19.

This training is appropriate for the community health workers, epidemiologists, surveillance staff, health educators, clinicians, behavioral health staff, and volunteers who frequently make up the broad array of team members that support frontline Disease Intervention Specialists and other pandemic response work.
