COVID-19 treatments are one of the most important tools in our COVID-19 toolbox. But disparities in access to treatments persist among some of the highest risk and highest need communities.
The goal of this training is to prepare local health department staff to inform and educate the public about COVID-19 treatments and resources available.
In this training, you will learn to:
- Educate individuals about the safety, benefits, and availability of COVID-19 treatments.
- Recognize disparities in receiving COVID treatments among different populations in California.
- Support individuals to access COVID-19 treatment using the tools of health coaching.
Audience: COVID-19 case investigators, contact tracers, and other non-medical communicable disease intervention staff of local health departments in California. Community-based partners working on public awareness and treatment access activities in the local health jurisdiction are also welcome.
